I made these drawings at Civitella Raniere, an artist residency in a 15th century castle in Umbertide, Italy. I spent 6 weeks intensely focused on meditation, yoga, dharma study, and drawing. These drawings were my diary of that time. Amrita is the sacred nectar that flows from a state of spiritual union. While my sculptures are grand gestures that take months to complete, these are more intimate gestures that show us the immediacy of applying spiritual practice to daily experience.
